That's a lovely colour, Michael -what method did you use as I find a lot of leather these days doesn't give a uniform finish when colouring.

On a side note, I'm about to do some quick change shoes for Wizard of Oz at Chester Storyhouse which is going to be fun as it entails having a pair of the Ruby Shoes being able to be worn inside some work boots and they need to be able to be removed in less than 2 seconds. I'll post some pics when doing them. We do a lot of shows and have signed posters from Victoria Wood, Nick Cotton, David Hasselhoff,  the cast of Elf from last years Manchester production and more.

Rick.

These I sanded on the naumkeg, then a quick going over with fine sandpaper.

Coloured about 4 coats of this

Then kiwi neutral wax on the sole and buff on the machine brush

All those photos are examples of great work... Love the Samuel Windsors... On the flip side of the coin, I had a chap in looking for work who advised me he had worked for Mr minit for 14 years... Gave him some stilettos to heel and finish... This is what he came back with... Worrying thing was he didn't see any problems. He thought he did "an ok job"

Did you not have the right size pu's to fit the heel. Nine time out of ten you can get a good fit without trimming apart from a touch on the naumkeg on the front.

I had all the sizes and different brands but wanted to see his skills on the finishing machine to give me an idea of how his work (and standards) would be moving forward
