grahamparker
My Dad has one leg shorter than the other, so we have no issues doing single shoes we charge half the price. kobblers
kobblers
We do single shoes all the time - why wouldn't you? You're basically forcing the customer to pay for something they might not want or require........... We charge half the price, too. Rick. Count Muppet
I do them here too if they are desperate or have a good reason like one leg. I always advise them that it will likely balance differently from the other especially when it's the ladies who have worn one stiletto right down. I charge roughly 2/3rd of the full price cobblers.keys and kobblers

Auto Key Wizard
All work done as a pair...Period Sort of miss read the question If a pair of footwear comes in and needs repair and the one sole has a hole and the other not, they are done as a pair. If a single shoe needs an adaptation, raise, rocker etc, then this will be undertaken. hibsjo(SCO)

Stanley Mishap
Ortho build ups obviously I'll do a single - but doughnuts who want a single stapled heel on a ladies shoe or a single stilly - have got no chance with me .... I always say 'if you've got a hole in a sock you don't go out and buy just one ?' Or I'll tell them I'll charge full price as they come supplied in pairs and I'm now stuck with one .... Stanley Mishap
So let me get this right ....when some dozy twonk brings in ONE shoe with a hole in the sole and a missing heel top piece at a 45 degree angle... ....You actually repair just that ONE shoe ? This is one of the most absurd things I`ve ever heard ...(and don`t trot out all the one leg excuses - of course I`d accommodate that customer - this is not the point being made here)

This is one of the most absurd things I`ve ever heard ...(and don`t trot out all the one leg excuses - of course I`d accommodate that customer - this is not the point being made here) So before carrying out a repair you actually question your customers disabilities. The customer may be bringing in the repair for an elderly relative who may, or may not have a disability. If I were the customer I would tell you it's nothing to do with you. I repair many odd shoes without question, two thirds the price of a pair. kobblers
Bren
I advise them that getting the pair done is best (standard repair) but will do odd if pushed. After telling them they'll have a limp they usually opt for the pair.
