Cost for 1=selling or 2= supply & fitting batteries ?

Wondering what the going retail charge is if you 1= sell a customer RENATA ONLY cr2032 battery for them to put in their own car fob? And 2= what you charge if you supply and fit the battery?

£7 for all the popular ones , I do charge £8-10 for some less usual and more expensive batteries l.e CR2430 , CR2450 & CR2325.

If u start selling them you will have people coming to buy the odd batteries they cant find in supermarkets and you will not make much money fitting them. That is for watches and car keys too.

I only fit them. I dont sell any over the counter.

If youre dealing with the customer asking what they want, going to find it, hand it over, put it on the till etc you might aswell fit it and make that extra fiver for yourself

That's a blinkered view!
If they know which battery is required, but the device is not available to fit, Then £3 retail goes in the till (£7.50 fitted).
We stock Renate lithium sizes in 300 box outer and gross £350+ in weekly sales (fitted or not)

Exactly the same Terry. Our weekly sales are similar to yours and we also buy outer boxes of 300 at a time.

It's like refusing to sell a padlock unless the customer has extra keys cut. Why in this day and age would you restrict a sale.

I used to work at an auto shop, and we charged about $5 for just selling the battery, and if we had to supply and fit it, the total would come to around $15. But prices can vary depending on where you are, so it's always good to check with your local shops for the current rates.

£10 here fitted, £3.50 over counter battery only.  But some of my prices are going to go up in the new year for dearer keys.  But more offers if they do both keys at the same time, which makes sense with the keyless fobs.

All batteries supplied if they want to DIY (And most likely screw it up) are charged at £3
