Broms Cobb
had a call from a customer - who asked if I had a Swing Arm Patcher? I said what was that as been in trade a couple of years and never heard of it? He said the Cobbler in the supermarket has told him that's the only machine that can put a zip into a Golf bag., Well as I have only got one patcher, (normal type) it's a miracle that i can do it, If the guy working in the cabin in the supermarket does not want the work, can they just tell the truth? In the minit days we called them 'Heel Bar Turkey's - I'm now wondering what to call these guy's Lazy' gits??
Tom D
theres many things I call them back in the 80s we used to call them "2 week wonders" after the mm training course ( in fairness it was probabaly a bit longer) as for a swing arm patcher ? there was a funny one on you tube best of luck to them St.Am92 and Broms Cobb
x minit uk
The only swing arm patcher I knew of was in the old minit heel bars where space was a premium and it was on a swivel base so could be stored flat and swivelled out when in use. keithm
SteelCityShoes
There is such a thing as a swing arm sewing machine, but I have no idea how it would have a gold bag easier to work with. Could have meant a long arm patcher....or maybe you’re right

Correct, just a base that swivels and allows you to 'trail' the bag below the stitcher so you can stitch it
Broms Cobb
Correct, just a base that swivels and allows you to 'trail' the bag below the stitcher so you can stitch it So a normal sewing machine and there's lots I have worked with wont do the job? Swivel base is that not for making better use of space? Lazy people use new terminology to not do these jobs might be wrong but,.

x minit uk
If it wasn't for companies like minit and Timpsons that raised the profile of multi service high street shops a lot of you would be still stuck in dingy, dirty horrible little hovels, mind you, from some of my travels a lot of you still are.
