who uses what?

we stock wolly creams and they are quite good

aesthetically pleasing on the eye for display purposes

and not badly priced for retail.

really stuck on what to do for paste polish as im not sold on the cherry blossom although they do have a good range of colours

im fed up on not getting kiwi when i order it.

Saphir paste tins looks good but the retail price scares me a little

time for a reeboot on my sundries this is why im asking

carry on!

On the subject of shine I had a lab test compare the standard Cherry Premium Polish against Kiwi's Parade gloss. They were polished equally and Cherry Premium outperformed the Kiwi Parade Gloss, albeit by a very tiny margin. The Cherry Blossom Premium Parade gloss delivered results 50% better than Kiwi's parade gloss.

Not sure it's any use, but we supply a lot of the London Shoe Shine booths, they swear by ladies tights to get the final buffed shine.

I can't tell you a huge deal about the chemical formulation; I've had it explained to me in detail and they even had me make some Cherry Premium Polish in a lab - but long chain carbon chemistry at 9am on a Monday is just too much! I know they use a lot of the more expensive Carnuba wax in the Cherry Premium Polish, which makes it have less of the solvent smell and is what gives the nice shine when you polish it. But I don't get too involved with the details of Cherry Original range as It's not a brand I manage.

Cherry premium of course has a much broader range, including regimental gloss, creams, renovating polish and sprays. Worth remembering that Kiwi sells perfectly well in supermarkets and high st, and that's exactly the same product, no?

I have kiwi as it's a brand everyone knows & woly as my main brand of polish. Very good range of colours & good quality. I prefer the woly range as i personally find it looks (& is in my opinion) a better quality product. Also their suede renovating sprays or suede velours as they call them come in a large range of colours as well. Much more than most companies. Tried cherry blossom as i had a problem with getting kiwi for a short period but i wasn't a fan of the product. Plus it's found in the pound shop in town what makes the product look cheap in my opinion.

Slightly off topic. Use to stock woly protector, but just really grew to hate the word "velour" instead of suede/ soft leather.

I hate the word faux......................Also I lost out on 2 sales today for Kiwi Light Tan. ... I had Dasco Light Tan and Kellys (not so light tan more like neutral)... But no ......... Old boy........."I was in the forces, I always use Kiwi Light Tan".............Did my Arkwright bit, couldn't convince him something else would do... TBH Kiwi Mid Tan ain't that far away from Light Tan just gives a slightly richer deeper shine.............I'm rambling.

Cherry Blossom is just generally cheap, Woly or Saphir all the way for me!
