it was not what you said keith it was your choice of words ie had you said " that in your opinion evry repairer should have a press " i would have acceppeted that as a reasonsble opinion but yoy did not you actully wrote " in your opinion no serius repairer should be without a press " implying that if you dont have a press then you are not serius about your work

I concur and despite having a press I still concur. you need to choose your words more carefully Keith. And an apology would'nt go amiss either. I think Rick deserves that.

so why does Keith need to apologise to Rick for saying what he said(writing what he wrote)

UK never apologises to anyone for his views (using the best example I can)

you dont have a blake or a press or whatever you better have a pretty good reason and a bloody good way of improvising for not having one!

see thats my view !

UK (always)has his

Keith has his

you have yours

carry on!

I'm afraid I will not apologise for having an opinion that differs from others, they have their view and I have mine. Planet and I do dissagree from time to time, but that's fine and healthy in my book. I've had my say, everyone's had there's, good debate if I may say so. I am not offended and I'm sure that Rick isn't either

Hello all,

I am knew here. Hope everyone is well. I am looking for a product called sole guard. Another cobbler put this under the soles which makes the sole last 4 times longer. We would like to offer this service. Does anyone know of a supplier of the product?

Thanks.

press or no press, did we ever get to the bottom of what exactly this sheeting was that went Under the SOS or heel to protect it?

rodney seems to go with the supertap durasoles in the end, but that wouldnot make sense as an 'undersole' as one surface has a grip embossed on it.

Does anyone else practice putting a thin layer of something onto the sole before sticking the final SOS/heel on?

could rodney be talking about the resin sheets? It would have to be a 1mm thin sheet or something. Also, sorry for asking a silly question but what would stop this 'heel protector' sheet from being ripped off when the heel is removed?

Do rubber heels stick to resin sheets anyway?
