Michael
I would say it's ordinary photo engraving then milled out round the edge and solder a jump ring to the top, maybe?? kobblers
lockdecoders
and a burnishing compound and then wiped off. Should be easy to do. kobblers
Chris Hanson
Took me just over an hour to create this bulldog puppy using the Magic 2P, just trying to see how these are made. Once you get the sketch sorted the rest was reasonably simple Forest Cobbler

k4mrc
Does look good, how do the people who make the ones here http://www.petsun.mobi/Personalized-Photo-Necklace-Sterling-Silver-a charge so little? If you did these it's all depending on time etc

Chris Hanson
The creation of the engraving picture is the important aspect here, I used a few programs , paint, word etc to remove the background ...going to try a cat...I'll be back
Chris Hanson
Ok ...Here is the cat image without a background...

Chris Hanson
Im starting to think that this needs to be broken down into layers and engraving them at different depths, when I inverted the image it engraved different aspects of the image and starts to take on a 3d effect...will keep you updated

Chris Hanson
Totally agree with your comments guy's, two weeks practice with the engraver and yes I'm bored with dog tags so thought I would try something more challenging, do you have any advice on how these items are engraved to resemble the clients image? My role is to sell the engraving machines so I think that I would be expected to have some idea of the limits. HIBSJO & Count Muppet are only saying what I and others have thought so no worries about their direct style of management, I shall treat it as a clip round the ear lol Looking forward to meeting you at a show/event someday da miller and kobblers
