Craig talks about total lost recovery & Eeprom programming, which is way beyond where I'd want to go,

You will Lee, believe me.... it's a progressive thing, customer inquiries will push you in that direction.

autolockying (how the hell do you spell that!)

Auto Locksmithing :)

This is business as an industry we are letting go off.

I have a buddy who I advised to get involved in key cloning five year ago, he's just purchased Zed-BULL & business is booming & wished he'd acted on the advice so much earlier.

I do get a problem with the Rw4 ,When using the identification a lot of the time it will tell me the key has a Temic crypto 8c chip. I now know those keys were keys that I could have cloned. :( I tried it with my van key & it came up with 8c four times before showing ID46?

We reported few some cases of this, it's seem that is due to some electromagnetical interference generated by the power supply.

Take care to put the power supply at leat 50 cm away from the reader antenna.

There is also some RW4 devices sold (in the past) with a power supply that generates anormal interferences, this power supply is the FranMar LE-0309BDSP.

Contact the after sales service to receive a new power supply.

Do you have list of Vehicles didn't work?

i talked to the guy today, seems one was a puegout, several different ones all 46 chip though, but the one that really did his head in was a hyundai coupe 07 reg - it stated it was successful - did not start car. rep has had it back, and said to him "he had not give it chance to work" to my mind we all know things dont run properely all the time, but if its most say 70% it's ok.

i noticed on another site that to program ID46 there is slightly different ways depending on the make of vehicle,

For ALL vehicles Except Renault

1. Cut the key blade to the vehicle.

2. Take the TK60 and cut key (the key must not have a transponder) to the car.

3. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds.

4. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.

5. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds.

6. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.

7. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds.

8. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.

For ALL Renault Vehicles

For steps 3, 7 and 11 ensure that you turn the ignition with the blank key and hold the TK60 next to the car antenna.

1. Cut the key blade to the vehicle.

2. Take the TK60 and cut key (the key must not have a transponder) to the car.

3. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds with the TK60

4. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.

5. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds with the original key

6. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.

7. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds with the TK60

8. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.

9. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds with the original key

10. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.

11. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds with the TK60

12. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.

13. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds with the original key

14. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.

and then, If this procedure is not followed the vehicle ECU will be locked. To unlock the ECU, the vehicle battery must be disconnected for at least 20 minutes..

this seems to be quite something, if my friend had a ECU lock = can you imagine how he might have felt, the customer screaming at him and him red faced,. to me it has to be 100% accurate and if not unacceptable. -

The boss has asked me to point out that, as the new key does not have a remote, the car alarm will go off until the key is put in the ignition. Customers tend not to be aware of this and it's yet another thing that puts them off.

He is weighing the pros and cons of the RW4/ID46 against the new JMA TRS5000/TPX/TPH. Does anyone have an opinion?

Thanks, Valerie

about JMA SolutionI t's not very clear for me the cloning procedure , and I don't know anyone who uses this system yet.

I have read the literature from JMA web site it seems that JMA will use the TPX3 togheter the original Key to record the data from ECU and to emulate Transponder PCF7936 (ID46) ; and additional HW (TPH cloner) to add on the TRS5000

now my concern is :

How the TPX shows the correct procedure of data record (4 times) ?

How the TPX shows if the position TPX+original key is correct to record data?

Can the TPX + original key cause interference (the TPX is a transponder)?

Can you connect toghether TPH cloner (PHILIPS) and TPX cloner (TEXAS) to the TRS5000 ? or need to swaap TPH and TPX .

I use the Silca solution it is easy to use integrated and works weel , in my opinion it is fine even though the big head (big head big brain ) :D

Ive gone for the silca as it is simple to use & the LEDs let you know when it has enough info. But I do get a problem that has been confirmed by Silca that if you have the older FranMar power supply the screen freezes up on the RW4. Something todo with magnetic fields .While I,m waiting for a new supply from them I have a empty can of coke next to the machine & if it freezes I hold the can over the key hole & it clears.Mind you the customer thinks your completely nuts :-s

Dear D-Power,

I found this dated 4 of November 2008.

D-Power declared:

"We are working hard on a new project that will surprise you, and is for that it's seems that we are loosing the "War of Transponder Machines", but in reality we are preparing a new weapon :), but for the moment I can't tell what we are doing, I can tell only that RW4 is far to be died"

The world is still waiting for your weapon.....I would suggest a good movie for you: "THE NAKED GUN" of David Zucker...

There does seem to be a large silence from silca and all manufacturers when it comes to the cloning market at the minute,

i have asked the question on here when will id48 be cloneable and no matter how many times you ask all you get

are reasons why they can't do it.

Seem to remember lockdecoders said the would have it cracked by late last year (still waiting) so maybee that is

what they are all working on.

Regardless of the pro's and con's of any particular machine, you only have to look at the content and frequency of Carlito's posts (and his revival of some very old threads) to deduce that he has some sort of vested interest in Keyline and/or some sort of problem with Silca. Indeed, this sort of exploitation of the forum for personal gain almost puts the efforts of both Messrs Southern and Pink to shame.... and that's saying something!

I realise that it is a fine line for the moderators here to judge (especially with forum sponsership and the genuine assistance that some of those sponsers provide).... but, in my opinion, it does the forum reputation no good at all when individuals are allowed to post in a guise that some readers may take as an independent view, when, in fact, they are (to some of use) clearly involved in promoting (or dismissing) particular products for personal financial gain.

I do not have a vested interest in Silca, simply stating that I find it to be a good reliable product, as I've owned a ERA3 (RW4) for the past 2 years with similar results.

I also have a AD900 and could have upgraded it a lot cheaper than the P-BOX, £200 against £800, but felt the P-BOX was preferable mainly due to working as a standalone rather than needing internet access.

It also has the 2 stage LED indicators to confirm that the data has been read by the Sniffer.

As the EHP's can be re-programmed 2 more times this is a cost saving benefit for fleet owners who are changing out their high mileage vans every year.

Did some in this forum bought RW4plus or upgraded their RW4 to RW4 plus (addition of snoop to read codes from the vehicle)?

I purchased RW4plus a couple of months ago, everything goes well except for Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep makes which use EH3P heads. The snoop is made to read two codes from the vehicle and It is not reading codes from the above said vehicles (late models after 2005).

I talked to and continuously communicating with Tech Manager at ILCO (USA), but just listening that Silca know this problem and they are developing a software to take care of this problem. Tech Manager also informed me that Silca is working on this project on priority since I started communication with him during the first week of July, regarding this problem. Nothing happened till date.

Do you guys who own RW4plus experienced the same problem. Dodge Caravan is very popular vehicle in Greater Toronto area and I have quite a few customers returned because I could not clone their key in addition to a dozen of customers on waiting list.

I would love to learn how is RW4 plus is fearing in Europe with respect to Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep products (post 2005 years)
