Hi

 

have tried a jma ce4d .didnt work .

 

tried a u4d didnt work

 

tried cutting down the long version of ce4 didnt work.

 

tried on saturday a cs206 waiting to see if the customer comes back.

 

thay all go in but just dont work. if it comes back i'll give a the 1a's a go aswell Hakeemz.

 

keyway was lost a long time ago dave.

she came back with the 206! guess what it didnt work.

 

I did a ce4d in the car jaws already no effect

 

i also have cut these with no probs on the ces keys. this is why this one is driving me nuts. I have checked me machine it with a couple of different test locks its fine.

 

arrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

If you are using the car jaws ie v jaw both keys can pivot slightly allowing you to cut one slightly deeper or higher depending

which way you twist either keys.This can be usefull if you are trying to achieve this but most of the time it will cause problems.

We have cut this key for years and never had any real problems (Always on the flat jaw) although we only ever use silca blanks ce12.Maybee it is

the blank which is causing you the problem.

It is not ce2 it is ce12 it is the shorter version of the ce 2 for the 50mm or 55mm double euro cylinders that were fitted to aluminum double glazed doors (usually sliding) and the length of the key is critical.You can shorten the ce2 but if you dont shape it correctly the key will not work as it will bottom out before the shoulder has hit the outside edge of the lock.
