  1. I only use genuine blanks, i only got the copies as they where free.
  2. I used a 105 cutter before getting my card unlocked on the Triax, did only about 6/7 and they all worked ok but only when i was using genuine blanks. Copied blanks only seemed to work one way up for some unknown reason.
  3. Well i was way off, maybe it was because i wanted my blanks coined.
  4. Have a word with Aldridges Specials dept they are always really helpful when i use them.
  5. How does it interact Matt, as far as i could tell the plug has raised edges stopping a standard blank entering all the way to the shoulder.
  6. Emka possibly. the keyblank is a Silca EMK1 https://www.emka.com/uk_en/locking-systems/profile-half-cylinders/profile-half-cylinder-1/download-3xb-320-profile-half-cylinder-program-1150-1190.pdf/.
  7. Minimum quantity rules will apply, Not exactly sure what Silca need to do (think it's 5000) but SKS will get JMA to do it with a minimum of 3000 (that was a quantity they did for me). Also have a word with Davenports. I have an obsolete abus section that i needed a blank making and 3000 copies worked out cheaper than 1000 genuine.
  8. Aldridges Specials dept with a letter of authorisation. Be bloody expensive though.
  9. Same as Ingersoll, forgot to mention that it has been such a long time since i had to change one. Here is the said rose http://www.aldridgesecurity.co.uk/p-4699-souber-tools-rr1-repair-rose.aspx
  10. Wait till wee Jimmy Krankie bankrupts you all.
  11. Know it all who slagged of the new forum owners and had a great argument with Mick (Mick won).
  12. Chubb no longer exists you need to search for Union C series. But yes you can swap to a standard cylinder.
  13. Suppliers have mutliple price discount structures dependent on your spending patterns. When you spend big and pay your bills promptly negotiation is always the best way of lowering supplier pricing. So my discounts are better than most but after 30+ years loyalty and a spend of over 60k a year you do get well looked after.
  14. Do your homework before laying out any money at all there are some good and bad courses you can go on. Although not a member i would always recomend the MLA as you will be shown by qualified experts. I have come across dozens of "so called locksmiths" who have paid a couple of thousand pounds to become driller killers who don't even understand what a tension tool is used for.
  15. Have you looked at Trend/Swatkins it looks like on of theirs.
  16. Aldridges are the cheapest. We stock the Mila cylinders and sell 200 + keys a month. Not putting a price as i will get told off by someone so i have sent you a pm.
