Cobblerwal
I’ve been wondering why more shops offering engraving don’t offer items engraved in the customers own handwriting to add a proper personal touch. Something much easier to do than adding a logo with a computer engraver. Has anyone else ever done this?
beware
It can look good, but mostly looks rubbish. My personal opinion.
k4mrc
I've done signatures on things for big orders which was good as presentation stuff - but like beware states too mush writing doesn't look that good
beware
Anecdote alert... There exists a GV machine that uses a gold marker pen instead of a diamond to mark on glass bottles. One of the options in the software is for customers to 'write' on the screen, and then the machine will write on the bottle. It always struck me that someone spent a long time making that work without realising you could just hand a gold marker pen to the customer.... Paul_
We've done a few kids handwriting and drawings for father's Day and mother's days. They look really nice. Usually offer it on key rings but have done compact mirrors, dog tag necklaces and cufflinks in the past.
Michael
Makes me wonder if people would just think it's been done by a shite hand engraver!!!! Paul_, hakeemz and simon1 1
Simes
Talking of handwriting...I did this for a leaving present for a customer. He got all the staff to sign on a piece of paper then we vectored it and engraved as per the picture.
