StevenB
Didn't read it closely enough to spot the water based bit. Renga do a toluene free adhesive, but I can't remember the name of it at this moment (I'm not currently in the shop)
kobblers
PVA is water based and should bond rubber and leather. The only problem is the lack of flexibility. Rick.
Renia GmbH
Renia manufactures several water-based adhesives: Aquilim 315, Neoprene-based Aquilim 250, PU-based If no extreme water-resistance is required, Aquilim 315 will work very well here. Leather to leather (flesh-flesh) can even be bonded by applying it to just one side and assembling the parts while wet - otherwise, you can use it like any other contact adhesive. Drying time on leather: no more than a few minutes, the leather absorbs the water. On rubber, you may need about 10 minutes with a very thin coat. No heat activation is required with the 315. The adhesive turns transparent when ready. What would be the application here? Attaching an outsole, or something different? hibsjo(SCO)
