Thanks for that. So are we saying that there should be an original for which we may be able to source a standard blank? Or that this is likely to be for a key where there is no standard blank hence the use of the easyentrie key. But to make another you need the original not the key in the picture.

if using easy entrie machine you dont need original, one in picture will do too...

i thought you couldnt copy a copy on the easie entrie?

carry on!

 

we have done this only in situations have arose like this,

but after copying they do come out 'thinner' and you really have to stress to the customer all the disadvantages,

they will break but if kept as an emergency key then as a last resort ok

I thought you could adjust the profile in the computer software ad make it a bit thicker to compensate?

You can do that on the machine itself. I sometimes copy a key but only as a last option because the measurements differ slightly so the fit is'nt always great.
