Simes
Thanks for that. So are we saying that there should be an original for which we may be able to source a standard blank? Or that this is likely to be for a key where there is no standard blank hence the use of the easyentrie key. But to make another you need the original not the key in the picture. I hope I'm not sounding too think here!

grahamparker
Simes, Send the key to Lee or Craig (keyvan) and either of them will be able to make you a blank from yours.

Count Muppet
they often come out too thin because the easie entrie doesn't copy exactly. i think they are made in such a way to guarantee them to fit in the lock. i might be wrong
k4mrc
Re: Key Identificationi thought you couldnt copy a copy on the easie entrie? carry on! we have done this only in situations have arose like this, but after copying they do come out 'thinner' and you really have to stress to the customer all the disadvantages, they will break but if kept as an emergency key then as a last resort ok

sleutel
I thought you could adjust the profile in the computer software ad make it a bit thicker to compensate? You can do that on the machine itself. I sometimes copy a key but only as a last option because the measurements differ slightly so the fit is'nt always great.
