Rate relief

Recommended Posts

Just got a letter from the council stating that the relief scheme is being extended. Those with a ratable value below £6000 will not have to pay any this year and a sliding scale for a ratable value between £6000 and £12000.

Every little helps :D

Is this a shoe repair subject

As most on here are repairers and this is a shoe repair forum. Have you nothing better to do than make sarcastic comments?

If its in the wrong section I apologise.

You only had to ask for it to be moved to the relevant section. :smt102

Eh? How is a simple question sarcasm? The written word can be interpreted in many ways, you have clearly got it wrong! But yes, I have plenty to do thanks :D I just try and help others in the meantime, which may include asking the occasional question :D There are different section s on this Forum and I believed that this question was not specifically about repairs, but maybe better placed in say, 'the 'Cobblers Arms' or Miscellaneous?

Nor me, seems as if you have more than one property you have to pay up.

its true, we are moving premises and have a cross over period of 3 months to shift everything, we lose our current rate relief and pay full on both properties for this 3 month period then have to re-apply when done. CRAZY

Well I don't get rate relief

This goverment dosn't want to help people get on

in business

Its typical of this and previous goverments. They come up with schemes that grab the headlines that give them good pr but in reality help very few. I'm just glad for once that I'm getting something back. Might even put it towards my duck pond once the moat is cleaned out
