If you are after keys then try sks,nw keys,davenports,Aldridges and keyprint. All have good online shops.

If they all start to buy the silca optica suddenly the hard part dissapears. Still you can't train someone thirty years keycutting experience with training.

Maybee they were using the easy entrie machine.

Are you getting the software with the machine and a pc as well or just the engraver.

Looks like it could be a silca cs121 as ingersoll rand are now the main uk cisa suppliers.

We bought the ls100 laser engraver with the extraction unit from gravograph about 2 years ago now,and we only clean the lens about every three months,we have had no problems with our machine apart from trying to clean out the dust bag as these are expensive to buy.We have found if you fill a bowl of hot water and soak the bag in it then put it through the washing machine it becomes reusable.Other than that no issues whatsoever,but our shoe repair machines are cleaned and emptied regularly.

Have you tried the silca ro69 this is for the (ronis and other makes) cc keys, or silca mer34r for the (cl) cc series.Both series have just been added to the silca stp software in the last upgrade.The ro69 is probably going to be the most likely.

It is not ce2 it is ce12 it is the shorter version of the ce 2 for the 50mm or 55mm double euro cylinders that were fitted to aluminum double glazed doors (usually sliding) and the length of the key is critical.You can shorten the ce2 but if you dont shape it correctly the key will not work as it will bottom out before the shoulder has hit the outside edge of the lock.

If you are using the car jaws ie v jaw both keys can pivot slightly allowing you to cut one slightly deeper or higher depending which way you twist either keys.This can be usefull if you are trying to achieve this but most of the time it will cause problems. We have cut this key for years and never had any real problems (Always on the flat jaw) although we only ever use silca blanks ce12.Maybee it is the blank which is causing you the problem.

Hi,is anybody producing a scania keyblank other than the hu71eh which we are currently using,preferably one that will take a tpx2 chip.

A lot of people are trying to get there hands on the cc codes at the moment with no success.I have been told if you contact link lockers they will supply the kseys cut to code only.Hope this helps

Dry cleaning is a good idea,we have done this for years.Firstly find yourself a nice local independent cleaner and see if you can negotiate a good discount for the volume you will be bringing (ie 15 to 20 %) then get yourself a hanger and away you go.Most importantly take for all items as you take them in this way you are never left with any un claimed items,we take for ALL jobs when we take them in and have done for the last 8 years and once your customers get used to this you will be amazed how well it works.We make 3 journeys a week to the cleaner we use and make around 1200-1500 profit every year from very little outlay.Plus you are helping to support another small local business.

It took us quite a while to find a blank to fit this lock,but we use a silca was2r.It is a lot shorter than the trelock key and you do need to file the shoulder back quite a bit,but as long as you just get enough for the last cut it works fine.NW keys stock this key blank. Cheers Graham

I agree totally with you,we have a triax and unocode as well as our manual machines,and even using these machines you occasionaly get a key back.Anyone who is that perfect doesn't exist.
