  1. I get the feeling chalky111 you just joined this forum to wind people up and to be fair youre doing a damn fine job. If you wish to use dodgy methods and counerfeit goods then thats your choice,Im sure the law states it is not illegal to own, but illegal to use but as im not a lawyer i wouldn't like to stake my reputation on it. And that is for me the overiding factor in anything i do or have done and that is my reputation,if you do every job honestly and to the best of your abilities then no one can question your reputation. For me that has to be the overiding factor of everything i do,and i take great pride in the work i produce,i know there are better shoe repairers, key cutters and locksmiths out there, but my integrity is up there with the best of them.
  2. Have you tried using Alumilaz in gold, gives a fantastic black letter when lasered, little bit thinner than .5mm but great if doing something small.
  3. Andy, where do you ge the black coated brass from ??
  4. Counterfit Goods = Crime Therefore by tour own admission you are a criminal using counterfit goods. "SIMPLES" You can try and justify it any way you wan't but our industry doesn't need ill informed people like you who think price justifys everything.
  5. Thoughts are with you Gav, WTF if you wan't to save money fair enough but other members where just being cautious in what they said and are very justified in that. If any one joins the forum requesting a service im sure most members would help but not at trade prices until the member has proved themselves. I would always offer to cut a key (especially to code) as i have all the machinery at my disposal, curently a silca unocdoe 399 and a triax-e-code with multiple jaws and cutters but if the key required security procedures i would apply them member or not.
  6. I would not cut this key blindly,i just let the person in question know i can cut these as i have a triax-e-code machine and have been granted access to the cutting software which is locked unless you are an authorised supplier. For the last 20 odd years we have carried out the most stringent security for duplicating safe and high security keys. EVERY safe key must have a Proof of I.D. to duplicate and if the customer isn't the owner of the safe/key/lock they must have written authorisation form the owner and I.D. to obtain the key, (credit card, passport and so on) we then request them to fill out a disclaimer form stating they are either the owner or are authorised by the owner to obtain the key we cut. We then keep these which i have records of every safe key we have cut going back 20 years,in fact there is half a filing cabinet full of them. If the customer required a key then i would still request either the security card or the documents with a supporting letter from his parents saying he could have this key cut. I have an easi entrie machine which i use but i have NEVER tried to duplicate any restricted key but have always used the correct procedure to obtain these keys usually going back to the supplier. We still ask for letters of authorisation for yale, union, assa, abloy, evva, ankerslot keys which other key cutters near us just cut without any problems. Most of our customers like the fact we are the only company local who do this and that is why we do so many. I have never been a member of the MLA but have a lot of friends in the key cutting industry and the MLA and have always tried to operate to the highest code of conduct possible.
  7. If it's a Cisa Astral or astral s with dimple cuts then i can cut them to code for you and at a lot better price than you have been quoted.
  8. Didn't see the question at the bottom of the listing, its obviously fake, i have now reported this seller to e-bay.
  9. Just found this on ebay, is it a clone ??? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Zed-Bull-Transpon ... _Equipment
  10. The front of the housing around the cylinder is possibly held in place by the neck of the barrel having been rolled over trapping the front cover or it has 2 rivets passing through which hold it all together. If it is held with rivets grind the back of the rivet away and punch the front cover of, the barrel will then be removable. once you have made a key you should be able to superglue the remainder of the rivets back in place, not ideal but it works. I personally would follow tels suggestion and strip a door lock from the vehicle as the key code should be on the drivers door lock,if not you can strip the lock down a lot easier than the ignition. I have used the first option quite a few times when the ignition lock had been changed and didn't match the door locks.
  11. Johnsons have been doing shoe repairs and key cutting in cleethorpes (2 miles away) for about 8 years. I got to know the guy who worked there, should really have paid him commision for the ammount of work he sent down to us.
  12. lishi pick or similar. Failing that contact dealers for key code then get someone like me to cut you a key to code for you (blade only). You may find someone can get you the code but you usually need to take the logbook to the dealers with proof of i.d. to obtain the code.
  13. Thanks Lee, We will probably follow your lead and do the same,it's a shame as it seemed a great idea.
  14. Lee, do you have much success with easi badge, we have had an absolute nightmare with it.I even have the epson r300 which they recommend and it never seems to print where it should. We have had problems with the domes being so soft if you touch them you embed your finger prints in them and a lot of the sticker sheets would'nt stick. Should have been a great idea but we mainly found it unworkable even in the latest version. Just wondered what you thought of it.
  15. WD40 = Water Displacement,40 times till they got it right ?
  16. We had the very same problem with cermark. Are you using the paste or spray ? We have a gravograph ls100 laser and we use scriptor spray (which is cheaper by the way),we dont clean the surface just remove protective coating then apply a thin coat.Whenever possible we do this outside and leave to dry for about 5 mins, then engrave. We then wash the remaing scriptor off with water, dry with kithchen roll then spray again and re-laser just to be sure. Using this method we haven't had any problems. We then finish using silvo wadding to polish. From memory scriptor is about £70.00 a tin from gravograph.
  17. Bet you are a major downloader of cds and movies from the net as well ?????
  18. As a buyer and owner of an original AD100 machine let me explain my reason for purchasing this and not even thinking about chinease copies. When you first dip your toe into the programming waters it can be a massive learning curve and you need all the help and support along the way which is why i bought my machine from hickleys. I cannot count the number of times i neede help and Mr Duncan Bellinger who works for hickleys who im sure most of you know has always been there to help.I even rang one friday evening in late december after 9pm,i had travelled over 30 miles through snow and ice to program a rover 25 which would not work. After contacting duncan the job was finished within 5 minutes and i left behind a very happy customer. The point is the chinese can copy all they want but when they start to build from scratch and invest time money and effort into a machine then someone else will copy it,Does not make it right in my book. Chalky i think you are short sighted and idiotic and indicitve of the retards invading the locksmithing fraternity in general,2 day course new dewalt = Master Locksmith, you will soon be found out. Wait untill something goes wrong and you damage a vehicles ecu and you need help, who are you going to turn to ??? As i posted before "Gigantic Cock"
  19. They will do any type of image you want as long as you have the minimum quantity, not sure how many that is. Have a look at the catalogue http://www.trendsettingcatalogue.com/ Pages 154/155
  20. Have you tried trend trophies in newcastle, they do krystal etch sales blurb: produced in the uk lower minimum order quantities short lead times competitive prices
  21. Just read through this thread and went to the xln website, filled in the request for information form and recieved a phone call back within 3 minutes. Excellent service and i will be swapping all my three lines to them. Pricing is very impressive as well. =D> =D> =D>
  22. Its not meant to be,as it says safety lock this are used to isolate high voltage or high pressure valves and duplicate keys are not supposed to be cut as they could endager the life of the lock user if someone else removes it. Pretty sure every lock supplied by master in this range only comes with 1 key
