  1. Put some new insoles in them Michael. Just to finish them off
  2. I would have recommended a full rewelt. would make the job look so much better. Then I would charge £100 + ....... £100 for a 3/4 and 1/4 patchup sounds a bit steep to me. BUT it depends on the quality of the shoes and where you are and what soles you are using.
  3. Why would you want to unlock it from a distance, you get get in it until your'e standing right next to it anyway.
  4. What about buying brass tubing? http://www.javis.co.uk/index.php?option ... 1&vmcchk=1
  5. Aaahha!! so the Leester has a Keycrypt pro. Welcome to the club.
  6. With so many firms jumping on the Suregrave demise bandwagon it's hard to keep up
  7. Read them in your machine TPX1 come up as 4C, TPX2 come up as 60 Texas Crypto
  8. No Conniee you don't leave the profile in drag mode. you need to have the spindle rotating. The retract will be set from within the software. I suggest you get back in touch with Suregrave and get them to talk you through the operation, failing that I noticed Marino offered to call & help you. I suggest you take him up on the offer. Because I think you are going to struggle otherwise.
  9. Mastergrave do quite a big range. Gold plated ones too.
  10. You havn't got them yet, this is Wales don't you know, could take a week to get to you.
  11. Yep got a JMA MIT12 & a Silca MIT6R slightly longer. Yours for the taking mate. Both in the post for you.
  12. got a silca no steve?, C274 comes up as a Suzuki key on Davenports site. What model & year is it?
  13. download them all into your software and delete the ones you don't want
  14. There are some in downloads chas
  15. The keycrypt is a good machine, the backup is good. Its not the machine that is resticting me, Its my shop position etc as I stated. I could upgrade it to do 46 chips for a couple of hundred quid. I would say I turn away 60% of keys and thats not really acceptable.
  16. I'm in the same position as Michael, one way street, double yellows, work alone. I have a keycrypt and the majority of keys that are coming now are ID46 chipped.I can see flaws in your suggestion Lee Firstly the customer isn't going to be very happy at having to do half the job themselves, secondly a little old lady with a Nissan Micra isn't going to have a clue what you would be asking her to do.
  17. I knew you would ask that you sod LOL. Bearing in mind i only got it yesterday i'll try and explain the best I can, here goes. Say for example you have a Georgian tankard set up. You can mark points along the length of the tankard, as many as you like and when you engrave it the profile of the tankard will be followed so the depth of the engraving is even all the way down. Best I can do for now Michael maybe StevenB may be able to elaborate more. But its a cool feature none the less. Especially when as Mark demonstrated it with the diamond above the engraving area and it followed the contours. Don't think it has v carve http://www.u-marq.com/user_downloads/user_downloads.php
  18. I think if if you want to make money this is something you have to commit to 100%. I have had a couple of transponder machines but I am getting left behind. It's not for the faint hearted. I honestly think it's best left to the autllockies. Sure I get a few here and there but I turn more away than I duplicate .For 2 reasons a: because the customer don't want to pay, b: because I can't duplicate them ie ID46 because of the faff of copying them. Simplify it and we may have a chance with our humble in shop copiers.
  19. Demo mode only though. I'm no spring chicken and not the greatest of computer literate users but even I can find Vistool software easy too use.
  20. To many to list mate. Biggest thing i was impressed with was the depth profile. Also no need to go into into transform to stretch text etc. Download the new software from Umarq and have a fiddle.
  21. Big thanks to Mark from Umarq for delivering my new machine yesterday.(I know you're watching LOL) I'm getting to grips with it fairly quickly. The Vistool 8 software is a big step up on the Vistool 6 software I was using and the machine is superb. Can't think why I waited so long before upgrading. Highly recommended. Anyone thinking of a new computerised engraving machine, these guys are worth a look.
  22. The whole point of my question was, was that your total order and did you order online and if you did you would have seen the cost and also the carriage charges
