sadly it only takes 1 and the domino effect takes over .

so if graham is correct and the price was going up 20% anyway before the brexit vote , i wonder if this means that the initial increase was not related to the decline in value of the £ , so does this mean that their may be a 2nd price increase at some point if the £ doesnt rally , as i have seen a number of suppliers increase prices already due to and following brexit vote.

personally i think the pound will stabilise , after all its at least 2 years before anything changes anyway regarding brexit.

Yes i was told about 2 weeks before the vote.

The increase (i believe) is due to the fact Silca have installed a second server that has cost them a lot of money and they need to recoup the outlay but will speed up wait times quite a bit.

The GTI chips only went up at the same as all other silca products did apart from a few exclusions.

Does anyone have both the Silca & Keyline equipment and is prepared to say which they prefer?  Just asking :)

I have and use both units and systems . both have the same coverage and both work great , i find keyline easiest to set up and use and quickest at present , but both work fine and do the job fine with equal coverage .

i did a pair of simple 2001 audi TT spare remotes yesterday , so thought id test both side by side , both cloned the key without issue .

silca wait and calculation time was 16 minutes , cloned spot on , 4 cycles needed to snoop all data .

keyline no wait time and calculation time was 2 minutes 20 seconds cloned spot on and on 4 cycles for data

my keyline unit cloned 14 minutes quicker than my silca unit , but both did job with no issues .

keyline is far quicker at present , due i guess to having longer to tweak things to get them right as more users hit the systems , but cant fault either for end result , i like the keyline pc program and screen prompts with my old eyes .

both rely on stable internet , i used my phones personal hotspot without issue .

which ever machine you have you have decent kit , but for speed and ease of use at present for me keyline edges it , but im sure in time their will be little to choose between either as both will continually improve further , with silca and with keyline everything they do is quality a user can rely on which is why i rely on both manufacturers products in my work , which ever you have or go for it will pay its way.

If you are not able to SNOOP at all (also the 1st packet) placing the SNOOP antennas in different positions but on all other cars the SNOOP works fine it could be that there's some issues on this specific car that does not allow the SNOOP to collect data.

@D-Power

On particular beetle failed to sniff the ignition at all, tried it on another beetle and that also failed to sniff the ignition ie no blinking leds on the snoop. Also failed on another vehicle but can't recall what it was.

However I have succeeded on 3 other beetles with no problem, and numerous other vehicles with times between 3 minutes and 12minutes.

I am experiencing problems however with the RW4 plus not reading the T48 chip, it often comes up saying "transponder not detected" or "incorrect transponder" so I'm having to hold chip in a cellophane bag and move the position around numerous times to enable it to be written to...anyone else having issues?

Also getting some write errors, which i guess is because the RW4 plus isn't finding the chip.

Don't know if it's a ID48 issue or a wider issue as only use the silca kit for id48, RW4 Plus is brand new as well...any ideas?

Are you holding the chip in your fingers when reading or just laying the chip in it's red holder against the side ?.

I use an old ford FO21 case which we drop all the chips into when programming as we had similar problems with the GTI chips.

Most importantly make sure all power supplies are as far away as possible from the Machines as this is a well know issue.

I have just had the incorrect transponder message when programming a Fiat Doblo, the machine went to the programming stage then after about 5 seconds re-booted itself (never had that before) but the key worked and started the vehicle so it had programmed it.

Will try to update my machine now.

I tried to upgrade via WiFi but i have just spoken to Matt and that he has told me that the WiFi updating has been suspended as there has been issues.

I will connect to the PC and upgrade it as i used to.

Update via WiFi is not suspended, version 04.02.086 was available on SRS server (so via PC) starting from yesterday afternoon.

Update via M-BOX was enabled yesterday late evening, so now is possible to udate RW and FastCopy devices also via M-BOX ;)

I've had my M box sat on the desk for a couple of weeks now , but as I've been ill I just couldn't face connecting it all. Just reading the instructions what is the Wi Fi Ariel for if it's connected via a Lan line ?

M-BOX can be connected to internet in two different modes: via LAN cable and/or WiFi.

If both modes are configured and the LAN cable is connected the M-BOX uses LAN connection, if the LAN cable is not connected the M-BOX switch to WiFi (if this one is correctly configured).
