Has anyone had the same problem and if so could you advise Thanks in advance Did you remove the key from the ignition each time, did you wait 10 seconds before trying again. Only had 1 fail on Silca RW4 and that was a VW beetle that would not snoop at all. Sometimes it is worth removing the key, locking the door, opening and trying to snoop again (has worked when i have only got 1 light). Last but not least why not try Silca UK for help rather than Hickleys/Aldridges. Matt is exceptionally helpful and can usually sort most problems. ponsaloti
Had my 1st failure yesterday. 2011/2012 seat ibeza. Machine said "Copy on T48". Everything went as normal until last op. "Writing Error". Tried 3 different chips and waited Longer (10 secs) between sniffs. No joy. Half way thru this I successfully cloned a key for an A3. Ibeza VIN VSSZZZ6JZCR Any ideas
eimco
I have had that problem but when it says writing error ignore it. The reason I say that is I look at what the red led light is doing if it's not flashing fast then it's downloaded and done. Also the ID48 management page will show its downloaded. I believe Silca know it's a fault in the software are looking to fix it. Hope it helps
Masterkey2012
I had this too ...on a 2010 golf...but just felt I should try it anyway...and started the vehicle first time ..... 😃
Cromwell
Tip for Porsche 996's you have to wait for the dash to turn off between snoops which takes ages. If you lock and unlock the drivers door on the key between snoops the dash shuts down as soon as you lock the door and you'll be successful first time.
