Reporting

Again the client came with the same machine (volvo s80, 2002).

I waited 40 minutes between reading.

nothing succeeded. Snoop dumped data from the first reading, and after waiting 40 minutes - again first reading.

We have to wait for a solution to this problem by Silca

Anyone cloned a Volvo C70 without problems?

I have a customer with a 2003 C70.

Its a fair trek away, so I don't want to waste my time if its going to be like the S80

Thanks

another VOLVO V70 and nothing (only first led).
I remove VOLVO from my list (maybe Silca have to do same)

Volvo's can be a pain. In simple terms the LED lights on the snoop indicate that the device has recorded the vehicle asking the key different security questions. In most vehicles this question changes with each key turn. In some vehicles there is a short time delay (or when the car is locked and then unlocked) With some Volvo's the time delay between the change in question can be as long as 30 minutes! This means that you can still get all 3 required LED's but will need to leave half an hour between snoop's. In all cases speaking to customers they have been able to produce a cloned key using this method. I hope this helps.

let me continue this topic

there was a problem in the copying of the 48 chip.

after all the procedures for copying, in the last step, when recording data on the chip 48, a write error occurs. And so with all the chips that come with the new M-Box. After recording all the sample chips 48, obtained after 10 attempts to write data. Why this happens is unclear.

Try this as it worked for a couple of Aldridge customers after Andy Lewis spoke to me and i recommended doing the following.

Reset the snoop using the software in the rw4.

Start the vehicle using the original key and let it run for a minute or so.

You have now reset the snoop and vehicle.

Then start the copying procedure again.

Had to do this a couple of times on id46 myself but never had to do it on id48.

Andy rang me back to tell me it worked for the customers having a problem.

Needed to clone a couple over the week-end, a 2000 Golf TDI and a 2003 Audi A4 V6 petrol.

Couldn't pull the pin on the Golf to program, so cloned it.

Everything went straight forward from sniffing to writing, but wouldn't start the engine.

Checked the original and cloned logic on my AD100Pro, and it was exactly the same, so gave up on that one.

Pulled the pin on the A4 ,but could not get comms to program, so cloned it.

Again everything went straight forward, until it got to writing, and it threw up a write error.

Checked the original and cloned logic on my AD100Pro, and it was exactly the same, but this time the engine started.

I had exactly the same issue when I cloned the 2 keys on my 2009 VW Caddy, both threw write errors, but work perfectly.

Any thoughts appreciated

Just for the record.  Not long had my Extreme Kit for the Keyline Mini and I've cloned VW Fox Key, VW Beetle & VW Transporter (Not sure of the year but the more recently all in one remote & blate).  All done in 15 minutes tops with no issues at all.  Really great piece of kit!  Obviously, time will tell on later and different models eg. Volvo etc but impressed so far! :)
