How much business do we miss out on?

Recommended Posts

I'm learning quickly that it's really worth throwing out those random questions to customers such as:

Customer comes in with a Fashionable Ladies Watch - Ask: Did you know we offer a Dry Cleaning Service?

Gent comes in to have a House Key Cut - Ask: Did you know we supply, cut and program Remote Car Keys Here?

The response is simply amazing! It fascinates me that despite the social media posts, advertising, posters & signs on our shop, people often don't see past what they want at that moment in time to see all the extra services.

What about your business? Are there services that your customers don't know about? I dread to think how much I have missed out by not just including a simple question after completing a sale. It leaves me pondering how much extra business I would have if I ask one question after each sale I make?

How you do to communicate what you do when people visit your business?

My business has been in this premises for nearly 40 years, I have a list of my main services on the sign above the door and on an A board outside, as they walk into the shop there are 3 big, bright orange key boards full of key blanks in front of them and just about every shoe repairer for the last god knows how many years has been cutting keys, and the first question they still ask....DO YOU CUT KEYS!!!!!

A lot of customers are in a dream world when they walk into a shop!
