Flash
When you say "It works intermittently" is it the cloning of the key that works intermittently, or after cloning, the cloned key works intermittently?
redcap
What kit have you got and where did you get it from? I am surprised the manufacturer / retailer cannot provide you with proper support....
lockdecoders
It seems with this that the car doesn't like its key being cloned and also it could be to far away from the reader ring.

lockdecoders
It is not 100% successful is what i am saying. Mostly they will work and work 1st time, but there are some cars that do not like it. Sometimes you have to do it a few times. We have had customers with both of our devices reporting very good success with the TK60.

Simes
I now have an AD900 and haven't yet cloned ID46. Can anyone explain the difference between using an MH or TK head compared to a TPX4 chip. I'm confused?
grahamparker
MH heads can only be used with a Silca machine, ie RW4 or fast copy.
Count Muppet
I've rarely had problems while doing these on tpx4 chips, but when I have I change the chip and start again. This has solved it every time, and the other chip has worked on the next car without problems.
Simes
So with AD900 no real need for MH/TK heads right?
Count Muppet
Nope, if you have the ad900 you might aswell stick with tpx chips and jma pods
Ridgeback
100% with silca MH so far. Cloned a 07 to MH yesterday. Dealer just wanted a plain key ready for a "snatchback" Very cost effective as it can be reprogrammed 2 more times

Simes
that MY astra needs a TPX4 not a 3, it will clone every time on a TPX4 with the AD900 Had a MY 2005/6 yesterday that wouldn't clone to TPX4 using AD900. Tried twice. This is the only failure I've had so far with my AD900. Are there alternatives to cloning to TPX4 that might work?
Count Muppet
With the latest update on the ad900 it should tell you why the process has failed. There is a long bar at the bottom of the tpx4 box that has a tick in it which explains the errors.

Please note the following ====================== ALL cars apart from Vauxhall for TPX4 --> turn the key QUICK ON / Off / ON / Off - four times - TPXchip will capture all information ON Vauxhall - Turn Key Onn and off Four time _ BUT take key out of ignition leave FOUR Seconds then back in and turn On / Off - do it this way Four times and this will capture all the information . Thanks for this. I'll check out the links. For info though, all the keys I've done so far, six plus the Astra, I have cycled on 5 seconds out of ignition 5 sec's repeated 5 times and worked on everyone except the Astra. The same chip was used for an Iveco Daily a couple of days later and worked fine.
