Broms Cobb
never heard of these, any feed back?
Mike at Vauxhall
I think birch might be selling them soon. I think they look great, but a bit pricey, will give them a try. Black and brown to start, then try some other colours if it pans out.

Loop King Laces
Hi All, Thanks for the interest in our laces, and thanks @cowers lane 583 for the compliment! Yes Charles Birch has exclusive distribution of our laces and they are selling them as we speak. Unfortunately we do not have a Brown Leather Lace as of yet, but I recommend along with the Black, that you also start with Gold. We've found these 2 colours to be our top sellers for a variety of reasons for both genders and many different age groups. Hope this helps, Christian Mike at Vauxhall
SteelCityShoes
How many are in the packs from Birch?
Loop King Laces
Hey @SteelCityShoes, within each packaging, there are 2 shoe laces for 1 pair of shoes. There are currently 7 colours within our range. I hope this answered your question? Best, Christian
SteelCityShoes
So the wholesale packs from Charles Birch only contain one pair? Not a box of several pairs? kobblers
kobblers
Wow, almost £3.60 a pair at wholesale price. I reckon the people 'round here will just try and nick 'em rather than pay 6-8 quid a pair. They moan at £1.99 for a pair of 75cm cord.............. Shame, really, as I like the look of the new laces but I'm worried that they'll end up the same way as our Easy Lace range - just gathering dust. Good luck to those who decide to stock them, though. Loop King Laces
Hi, @SteelCityShoes, Charles Birch will offer them as boxes of several pairs. I thought you were referring to how many shoelaces in a single unit. I'm currently aware of offers from Charles Birch on our laces so do get in touch with them to see what you can get! @kobblers, Yes they are pricier than a standard shoelaces! But they are also genuine leather, fire resistant, have embossed golden aglets, and placed in very attractive packaging. They're heavily targeted at those who wear trainers, and usually the average trainer costs in excess of £50! So we think our retail prices won't bother the trainer owner too much, but again, will depend on the audience you have coming into your store Best, Christian kobblers
SteelCityShoes
There's no denying that they look great, and I do see a fair amount of expensive trainers like Giuseppe Zanotti coming through, but that wholesale price is a little high for me to get a range in just to test the the water. If anyone else stocks them, it would be good to hear some feedback kobblers
Mike at Vauxhall
I'll definitely will give them a try. If they are aimed more at trainers than casual, does that mean 114/90cm are better sellers than the more business like 75cm, that's a bit of a shame as my shop is very commuter based. As for the price nearly every product range has a place for a high end range, whether it be shoe laces, umbrellas or watch straps. Loop King Laces
Hi @cowers lane 583, Our best sellers are the 114cm and 140cm. Close 2nds are 90cm and 150cm. The 75cm is more for a child’s trainer or an adults 3-4 eyelet shoe such as VANS Authentic. If I was to make a suggestion to you. I would say start with 90cm, 114cm and 140cm, and see how you get on. These will definitely go and fit the majority of the audience. From there, speak to your customers and develop word of mouth to see which other enquiries you get for sizes! We’ve had people request 200cm! Unfortunately we don’t stock that yet. Much agreed on the high end range opinion. Auto Key Wizard
Gonna order 5 each of full range and see how they go, I can see them flying out. Is there a SRP? Loop King Laces
Loop King Laces
Hi @Auto Key Wizard, Sounds great! Yes, the SRP is £7.99 for the 60cm-90cm and £8.99 for the 114cm-150cm. Our website sells them at £8.99 throughout all sizes, this is purposely done to give consumers the push from online to the retail stores to pick up a pair if they want to save a little! We do not recommend going below this price as the brand becomes devalued, plus keeping this price keeps your profit margin, and you should find all retailers sticking to this thus ruling out any undercutting! Enjoy! Christian Mike at Vauxhall

If not, what does "heavily targeted" mean? This isn't a dig at anyone in particular but it seems that every time a new product is developed in our trade, it always fall on us retailers to do all of the advertising - I only have room for so many posters on my premises and only so much time to explain the advantages of a new product. I think I'll see what sort of feedback they get from my peers on here before I decide whether to stock them. I wish you well in your venture, regardless. Rick. Loop King Laces
Hi @kobblers, We're following a very structured advertising model. We're enlisting young users interested in trainers (or sneakers) to interact with Loop King Laces in many different ways. The best way to keep up with our marketing is to follow us on instagram https://www.instagram.com/loopkinglaces/, and to stay up to date with our website https://www.loopkinglaces.com. We get collaboration requests from artists daily but we're just fine tuning how we deal with these users to spread our marketing efforts. Agree on your comment about advertising falling on retailers, its a common cause nowadays with the brands in Shoe Care. We've gave Birch A3 Posters to provide to retailers on order. We have also told Birch to send us a list of retailers of Loop King every few months so we can include them in our upcoming "stockist" section of our website, guiding users from our website to the retail stores.. and advertising the stores other products! See how you feel after speaking with others, we wish you the best also in your ventures! Best, Christian

You should maybe look into starting a facebook campaign such as a 'like and share to win' as these are always popular on my feed. I'm going to see if they'll let me have a poster just to see what interest it generates - this will go some way in helping me to decide if the market is there in my area. Thanks for taking the time to address my concerns. Rick. Loop King Laces
Loop King Laces
Hi @kobblers, No problem at all. Great idea, speak to Birch. Do tell them the poster will help you consider the interest in your area, a poster should be given to you with no problems. Great idea on the facebook campaign, we actually have someone working on that as we speak. We're just awaiting a list from Birch of retailers so we can target people in those selected areas to drive them to their closest stockists. Anytime, Christian. kobblers
Flash
I remember stocking coloured leather laces many moons ago,(not Loop King) the problem was the strength, we had many complaints of them snapping. Ended by scrapping entire stock, so a bit wary this time round.
Loop King Laces
Hi @Flash, that’s why we’ve called them Luxury, they’re made from cow-skin leather and are extremely durable and easy to clean, as well as 100% Fire Resistant! Don’t be afraid to give ours a go! Best, Chrsitian kobblers
Mike at Vauxhall
Got some in, I like the look and the packaging. As I said, my customers are commuter based so not convinced they will sell well, but they add interest to what can be a boring display. The back instructions both made me laugh and feel really old. This is my idea of sharing it on social media though. kobblers and Loop King Laces
Loop King Laces
@cowers lane 583 Hahaha! The new generation of our marketing team are all for it and it’s shown it has worked!
