Now that I have found out that that font is not in vistool 5.1, surely I cant rely on people to convert the jobs for me as I have 5 or 6 jobs to do in this font and it seems to be the preferred font being used by previous engravers on annuals in my area. Is there anyway of buying the font or downloading it to be used in vistool 5.1. Any advice would be much appreciated.

you can get the font free of charge if you upgrade software to version 8 but that will cost

Whilst you can import true type fonts into vistool (current versions - I can't remember as far back as version 5!), you're unlikely to be able to download a suitable single line font to use.

You haven't said which machine you're using, but the full current version of the software costs between £595 & 950, depending on machine.

Compared to version 5, v8 is an entirely different proposition.

Having said that, it's still immediately familiar, everything you're used to is still there & works in the same way, but there have been so many extras added & details changed as the software was developed, refined & improved that you'll wonder why you didn't upgrade sooner.

A.      Did you download the latest version or have you always had it?

B.      Is it safe to download the latest version from Umarq website

C.     Will it work OK with existing dongle

D.     Mines working OK. Don't want to mess it up.
