kobblers
We've been having a lot of returns on the new Winkhaus keys. They're all going in the locks okay but aren't turning. We've been using the JMA WIN21 blank - Has anyone else had problems with these keys? Cheers. Rick.
derek
i had a problem with those blanks a good few months back with 1 lock i can remember, and the lady had tried getting the key cut elsewhere but had the same problem of the key going in the lock but not turning. not cut very many of this blank as it's not a popular lock where i am
damen.rudi
I had the same problem with some other keys and tried to recut them another way. I put the groove in the clamp. Actually the same way we cut carkeys and wonder by wonder all the keys turned all into the locks. Give it a try. Mike at Vauxhall

Flash
Same here, must have had fifty returned in the last few months. Doesn't make any difference however we cut them, so stopped using them.
Mike at Vauxhall
Have you changed to universal( reverse) blank. Was thinking of changing to them. Have used them successfully in the past.
Growster
The way I understand this issue, it comes from copying, not from cutting to code.
Flash
Didn't matter how we cut them, five different machines inc silca futura, Changed to Silca blanks problem solved. Simple. grahamparker
Flash
It most definitely is not a blank issue. It is a cutting issue. If the blank goes into the lock and is high enough to hit the cuts then it will work just fine. Measure the key and the answer is there. Measured the keys, some were thicker than others and would not enter the lock! some would enter halfway and stop! Other blanks entered but were not high enough, changed to silca no more problems. Mike at Vauxhall
Had an enquiry for 60 of these last week. Was a bit worried , about returns of using the jma blank, even with the car key cutting method. In the end got genuine winkhaus blanks from davenport. All keys worked a treat, no returns. The problem in my book is definitely the win 21 blank and not the way it is cut.
