which cavity machine

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks

I'm cutting more & more car keys which I'm struggling to fit remotes under the limited space on my cavity machine & I'm considering upgrading it.

At the moment I'm not doing keys to code or autolocking just straight copying. so which machine is recommended & why?

Options seam to be HD Punto, Silca offerings & Bianchi machines.................... thoughts?

If you could afford it i would recommend the silca viper or triax-e-code.

Yes they are a lot of money but ours has opened up so many new markets for us.

We are now cutting keys for kia, ford, fiat, volvo, honda, saab, vauhall all main dealerships as they

buy the blanks but don't have them cut just bring them to us.They now call us whenever they

have any key related issues with a vehicle.

We can also do garrison, cisa astral s,radial keys and a whole lot more keys to code.

We had our machine 16 months when it finally broke even and we are now into profit (apart from cutters)

on every key we cut.

The main advantage is when you get a badly worn vauxhall key to duplicate the software will correct and

cut the key as if it was new.

It is now used daily along with the unocode 399 which we bought about 6 years ago and that so

far has cut just over 35000 keys and it is a very rare occasion when a key does not fit.

Keys to code is a massive market as not many people can afford to buy the machinery so they

use the suppliers, who in fairness can be resonable in price and dleivery but you can't beat doing

it yourself.

realistically I don't think a computerised machine will be an option for the time being, Pete's machine is an attractive buy, but I think I'll be looking at a manual machine at this stage, like I said I have one & it works fine but could do with something that can hold remote heads etc. mines a bit limiting with space for this at times. I have to use some ingenuity, which all eats into time.
