prices are good but only pop blanks. do you remember when we had hardware shops where you could get nut bolts etc of any size and any qty. along comes the big boys such as B&Q and now try and get a 3/8 widget.

imposible becouse someone "cherry Picked " the most profitable lines and killed the specialist.

Ill stick to the specialist key suppliers and then when I need some obscure profile or advice they will still be there for me.

Just my opinion of course.

hi all,thanks lee for detailing my address pretty sure that is illegal but anyway i am not bothered its no secret really. sorry for the spam too :D . i am impressed with your level of dedication to the industry. anyway i'l clear up all your questions. no there is no vat to pay a its a new company that in its 1st financial year will take less than £70k its no longer 68k. the keys are good quality. they are produced in china by the largest key blank supplier. we currently only have 4 sections. i have 30 more and order but on hold to see the reaction. its been very good. we have only been trading for 1 week elling them wholesale but the keys landed 6 weeks ago. i have been uing them since then to see if they are and good. they cut nice and i have had nothing back. i have been cutting keys for years and i am happy with them. im pretty sure i can sort out somekind of discount code for member of this site if they want to try them.

Actually; No, it's not. It's your website that's illegal.

Companies Act 2006 and Business Names Act 1985

Every UK company should list on its website:

* its name;

* its company registration number;

* its place of registration; and

* its registered office address.

Sole traders and partnerships who carry on a business in the UK under a business name (not the names of the trader/partners) must also make certain website disclosures:

* in the case of a sole trader, the individual’s name;

* in the case of a partnership, the name of each member of the partnership;

* in either case, in relation to each person named, an address in the UK at which service of any document relating in any way to the business will be effective.

Come on guys lets cut some slack - just lately you sound like the MLA every new person is attacked - He is only a bit upset that info was up, someone could have asked him...... but as its been said to send him a cheque you would need his address.

Yes he has a few things wrong, but he is a guy looking for an edge to get him through, all credit to his trying to earn a crust, better than taking social money.

Can we just modify our remarks to being helpful again rather than confrontational, lets just welcome him and explain where he is wrong, rather than these 'he could die' cowboy builder statements.

Many of us are not that familiar with the acts, it is a minefield and one where I have stepped on a few, even recently.

ok not illegal but definately unfair to post a mans family address on a forum. but lets not dwell. thankyou for all your feedback, posotive or negative it will help me to improve my business. im not here to con anyone, im not here to upset anyone. and i definately will never even dent the big players so please dont worry about your hard to get sections. im here as we all are to make money. and we all know that if we do a bad job we may take money today but not tommorrow! i dont do a bad job, either in my retail aspect and i hope not in our wholesale! i respect your opinions and feedback. so thank you once again for them. i will look into the legal stuff again. when you set up a site it goes through it with you. didnt see anything about that. dont want to be illegal! finally i know the vat is bothering people. as we said before the threshold is 70k, with less than 6 months trade we do not anticipate it will exceed this.

hi all,thanks lee for detailing my address pretty sure that is illegal.

I have removed this reply, as its never my intention to upset ANY member.

HOWEVER, IN THE INTERESTS OF THE TOPIC & YOUR OWN MISINFORMATION.

Under the data protection act, it is illegal for a data controller to share information held about a third party if they haven't specifically requested it to be. when you signed up for your domain you agreed for nominet the uk database holders of co.uk domains to display your "whois" data, thus allowing it to be openly viewed.

copy & pasting open source information is NOT illegal.

You might want to consider Redcaps accurate advice & read up on the "distance selling laws" before trading standards knocks at your door.

Mike I don't see why some "slack" might be needed, this chap is clearly trading illegally & its worth protecting our members when we smell a rat.
