so couple of good sources tell me timpsons are possibly buying birch out mainly to get certain material contract vibram topy etc, then i her james and john have been sen at leeds then i phone essex this morni ng chasing stock to be told by a pissed off sound lady that essex is closed all week reduncies have been issued and my stock order is written of even thouigh i was told 3 days ago its been dispatched ,

All of the shoe repair wholesale business is being moved from Essex to Leeds, more logistics are being moved to Essex to secure jobs, so we are not closing down we are simply changing round our operations

I heard the same as K4mrc, all repair/shoe retail/key stock is moving to Leeds. Essex are concentrating on Vibram footwear. 

The rumour that Timpsons are buying wholesalers has been happening for donkeys years. Never happened and can't see see why they ever would.

Timpson only just bought a ski resort last week and the robot key business a few months back

Birch don’t have a Topy contract, Colledges do.

With the cost of commercial electricity at the moment they possibly could have

Timpsons never bought the hotel, Flock inns did, owned by Timpsons yes, but it would not have been funded by Timpsons itself
