Numbered tags

I wonder if anyone has any good ideas or can fulfil a customer request.  He needs some sort of key tag in 3 or 4 different colours to be numbered something like A1 to A30, B1 to B30 etc. I was thinking of engraved discs but he wants sub £1 each.  There is about 200- 250 of them I think.  Any ideas?

He can buy a box of key tags and write them himself. If he wants cheap he can have it

For engraved laminate tags my price would be £5 each, down to £3 each for a large quantity.

Customer has totally unrealistic expectation of costs....but saying that, someone will probably do them for very little, if any, profit.

I would tell him to go get prices for equivalent tags, certainly wouldn't be doing them that cheap. The tags alone will cost that!!

Agreed.  Was just wondering if someone out there had some sort of low cose solution, printed insert or could laser engrave multiple in a large run or something like that.  I put it out there on got the answer I expected

I have a couple regular customers who manage a lot of properties, they use plastic key tags with labels printed on something like a Dymo labelmaker. A step above scribbling on one of the paper-insert keytags, but cost-effective. 

I'd probably make up a page in CorelDraw with coloured rectangles (sized correctly for whatever paper-insert-keyring you have) with the required text inside and print them out and cut them to size. I happen to have a paper guillotine though, it'd be painful otherwise.
