keysinthecity
This is a 5g mortice key, part of a series. We occasionally see it. About one every couple of months. Any ideas?
kobblers
Union MH series. We've cut a few of these, too. Rick.
keysinthecity
Union MH series.. As in you've been able to modify an MH series key to work, or that you're saying the above key is part of the series? Previously I have been able to find an MH series key with enough meat on it to modify to work but on this occasion that hasn't worked. Hence wondering if there was a better blank to use. kobblers
I've never encountered one of these that didn't have enough 'meat' on it. If it's only slightly out, I'd give it a try anyway as those sort of locks generally have a good bit of play in them. Rick.

Thanks Rick. I don't know if it's only slightly out or not as the customer is foreign so it's a bit tricky to find out more info than just "it no work". Anyone know what from what manufacturer's series these keys originally come from? Thanks all

Think graham may have had his account hacked by locksafe. kobblers, MarkD and StevenB
kobblers
Nah, locksafe would have chastised us all for having the temerity to rely on years of experience and good judgement Rick.
