Michael
I said this to my missus....If car thieves and scumbags can clone car keys in seconds, using equipment bought off the internet, for cars like a brand new Audi RS4, or Range Rover's etc. (according to what I've seen on car forums) why are we not able to do it without specialist equipment costing £££££'s?? lockdecoders
This is not copying the transponder. It is a fancy after fit alarm immobilser. This has been used in the USA for years. So you take a metal box and put the aerial with its transponder key in it and lock the box up.
lockdecoders
I would also think it would invalidate your insurance warranty as you are leaving the key in the car
rapidlocks
ironicly the keydiy bluetooth box allows you to use your phone as a remote far cheaper , and my gprs tracker fitted to my van already allows me to immobilise my van and stop the key starting it , so this isnt new as ive had this a while now , and as peter says a system in usa already has remote start and operation by smart phone . i think peter jones summed it up when he simply asked WHY ? before dropping out . i enjoyed him sqirming when the dragon said if my phone was dead or stolen how do i start my car , to which there was no solution offered , and as phones are easily lost and stolen they deemed it a bad thing for security rather than an enhancement , so no dragon investment . funny old world lockdecoders

lockdecoders
No it wouldnt clash as there is no aerial around the ignition as it has been moved and yes i have been to the car clubs having been a member of one and yes we did have these start stop on a remote. It is common in the USA.
