Lee
Why bite the hand that feeds you? They support us because they see the value in "most" of what we do. Some companies have a policy of not publishing to forums, but will contact me with info which I often forward to members via pm. Keyline is a good example of this I am in regular communication with them and they sort out all sorts of things! As with so much on this site the network "underneath" is far bigger than what seems to happen or not, on the forum itself. The wider network of support it has created is vast, suppliers or member using members to keep the business from going elsewhere is unquestionable and should never be doubted. keithm
I'm afraid I concur with Hibsjo, too many sponsors are silent on here. I've had a to wake a few up from time to time if I see them being lambasted just so they can put their side, if they have one! I've stopped doing that now as it's their problem not mine, if they can't be arsed to be here then so be it

I don't suppose every company has the time to monitor the forum! I think their support as a sponsor is good enough if they choose not to get involved as often as others. Just saying! Gray
Hibs has a point. They sell the products and supposedly know what they will do. It wouldn't take a great deal of time to monitor the forum and offer advice. Look down the sponsors and see how many you can think of that have posted replies. I don't think I've ever seen anything from Punch not much from Birches, Glenway.... The ones that crop up on a regular basis are Standard, Siserve, Healys, Davenports. If they can do it why can't the others? Just saying!
ironplanet uk900
Still don't think it'S a valid point really.... I don't monitor the Sales section !!

keithm
I think it's better to receive advice, in my case machinery, from the horses mouth. There have been many times on here where advice is given by another repairer that is flawed, I like to put the record straight and give the facts, it's just my way and I see it as an asset to the 'Forum' and 'Trade' which I have supported from day one
Lee
I love the forum, I love the banter, I love the sponsors, I love the dynamics & I will be sad the day it has run its course & has no new topics in a 24 hour period. xxx

All I'm a saying is its not a requirement... I'm sure some of the non active sponsors would say F**k you I'll withdraw my sponsorship. How many people on here just use when they want something... but never contribute otherwise... I used to spend half my day helping others on here. People love to knock you when your honest and to the point... and others like to keep fueling it... comical.

We melt then in a tin foil tray to make another stick to avoid waste. Thriftyness not Bodgism in my book. And NO we don't mix all the colours together. kev
Suppose I'm guilty of spending not much time here anymore. I do try and read as many posts as possible, but it's hard to find time to post reasoned, well thought out replies. And most of the time I have have to view "out of hours" - sometimes after 12 hours out on the road last thing I want to do is talk about engraving on the internet! However, some of you guys have my number and email address if there is anything I can help with please get in touch and I'll do all I can. Anyone who wants my work contact details PM me and you'll get the same service as those above do. Kev
smokedog
ironplanet uk900 Have you never made a mistake lol ! Doubt you would have the balls to admit it. Sit behind your little desk and criticise were it's nice and safe Wish I lived near you, your competition would soon tell me the mistakes they have had to fix on your work. Can Guarantee it. Tell me this how many of you can say you have never had Customers in and you have had to correct work carried out by your local competition ?
