Simes
I know this may be a long shot, but I don't suppose anyone has a spare ranger they fancy selling? My hands and getting a bit arthritic!

Simes
When I was with Minit years ago I had a nifty little electric ranger on the bench. It was great! Now I've been quoted £500 to £1,000 inc vat to buy a hand one! Ouch!
Simes
Anyone using anything like this and are they any good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1313952414
smokedog
I have been tempted by this myself due to my budget, though they seem to be half the price of similar models. Wonder why ? On a side note these are Shultz models which claim to be Hungarian though the members on here advise me they are chinese and a lot of s**te. petercoulson
not the same elfman, the ones that cost a fortune now are the ones that were that price a few years ago. For some reason the manufacturer has priced them ridiculously. From last year to this year they jumped over 100%
elfman
woodware repititions had them at the show 2 years ago at more or less the price I paid for mine peter
Simes
Well I'm not paying the nearly £700 for one. I have this cheaper one on the way. Risk worth taking I've decided. I'll let you know how it goes!
keithm
Well lets hope they can provide a spare blade and a special spanner to change it

keithm
Well our price is nowhere near £700 Providing you are talking about a ranger and NOT a 'Welt Roller' ranger? Ours are European made and we supply blades and spanners

Simes
Well our price is nowhere near £700 Providing you are talking about a ranger and NOT a 'Welt Roller' ranger? Ours are European made and we supply blades and spanners Perhaps you need to speak to someone then, because that's approx what I was quoted inc. Vat (I'm not VAT registered) when I range up. Other price I was quoted was £1000 Tool arrived today. Seems to do the job and has a tool for changing he blade. As for the blades themselves, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Already have done Simes and there is nowhere that lists a price anywhere near that with none of my staff recalling a conversation otherwise, maybe there was some confusion on the item? As for the price of £1000, that would be for a roller ranger Anyway, glad to hear you have it sorted.
Simes
Perhaps I was quoted for a roller ranger. In any case this one was £260 & comes with the correct spanner and looks exactly the same as an 881 hand ranger.
