Gray
Hey...have a problem! I cant remember how to use the infill tool for Gravostyle 5 on letters...i can get the window up for it but when i select ok it always comes up with an error...is there a setting which i'm not doing right? Any help anyone?... Hello I'm a Vistool user. Probably no use at all,...but have you selected the text you wish to infill first? If I may be so bold as to add something here. Whenever we see a problem that Vistool owners have there seems to be an immediate answer. Gravo problems seem to take ages.
hibsjo(SCO)
just seen this highlight text (which has to be TTF) click CAM on the left hand column hit create tool path top left button on left hand column click available double click sweeping (save job if it asks) hit ok on default page (make sure diamond is tool to be used) now hit toolpath list button on the right of create tool path click root then right click the layer chosen and then click Edit tool path geometry sorted! OR highlight text click colour button on the left column hit green(thats what i choose) then click properties at the bottom hit top box and choose 2D on surface(thats what i choose) then choose island fill or hatch depending on your finish then choose diamond and then apply then ok come back to your screen and the text should have changed colour to green use the view button(the one with the eye) to see the text filled in phew carry on

MAW
hibsjo(SCO) Thanks for taking the time to describe both of those ways with Gravo 5 to infill, top man! Until now the cam side of Gravo has been a bit of a dark art that I have never got the best out of, I always use the second method you detailed both with TTFs and vectorised logos that need infilling. That is a very quick & easy technique which I have found works amazingly well on anything other than large characters or areas of infill. On such jobs I get a line that runs thru the centre that appears missed. Now having experimented with the Sweeping tool path, your first method of infilling on a large area the finish is absolutely perfect. Presumably the very large file that is created and sent to the machine has much to do with this. Thanks for the enlightenment. MAW
Hi Chaps, Further to recent posts about the use of Gravostyle software here is a link to a load of Gravograph USA YouTube video tutorials that you might find useful Their dumb accents got on my pip after a while but it is amazing what you can tolerate when you are looking for info. Why can't Gravograph UK do something similar, surely it was save calls to their very busy customer support line? Hope it helps.
