Gray
Feck off! I have a multitude of double yellows and over enthusiastic traffic wardens.
Phil Morland
For people like gray that can't get out the shop, do you think it would be totally nuts to get the customer to do the 5x turns in the ignition? The job would have to be prepaid of course, so they don't run off with your chip.
StevenB
How many customers could you trust to get this right? Not too many in my experience!
Count Muppet
I have had the customer do it a couple of times, people are often stupid but not many are stupid enough to get such a simple procedure wrong
Lee
Exactly & again system dependent some you don't need to tape chips to the side of keys, you cut the key, put the chip in, ask the customer to go turn it in the ignition 3 times, till the ignition lights turn on & bring it back for the final "procedure" they don't even need to take there keys. so you hold onto them for security. I agree with wage slave, i'm lucky for parking but carefully chosen words shouldn't mean you lose sales just because you don't have parking. I'd have thought the only ones to be concerned about would be the Renault, but all other id46's could easily be customer aided. Lee

Lee you could buy the true code system for doing renaults, although my car keys are poor to say the least the true code system really is simple to use and not that expensive, although you would need to go to the customers car yourself
Stanley Mishap
I Can`t Leave The Shop So Use A FASTCOPY....70% Of Customers Are Straight Out Of The Door Again When You Say `£50.00` (And I Know You`ll Have Trouble Getting It Cheaper Else-Where ...But As My Locksmith Buddies Say `They Won`t Pay That For A Spare - But They`ll Pay £200.00 + When They Lose It And They`re In The Pouring Rain !) - The Other 20% Are Off Again When You Tell Them There Is NO Remote - And They`ll Probably Have To Get into a System Of Using The Manual Method Of Locking On The Copy AND The Original !!! The Other 10% Usually Pay It Gladly - But It`s Usually The Ford Red/Blue Chip Which Makes The Most Money! I Personally Make More Money On The Old Nova Chips At £30.00 Or Cannibalising User Chips Into Empty Pods For Broken Keys Or Old Ford Tibbe`s That Come Out Or `Spin` - £20.00 You Wanna See The Faces Of 17 Year Olds With A 10 Year old Car When You Tell`em The Price - But You`ve gotta keep cool - Even Though They Go Nuts !! Phil Morland
Well, just did my first ID46 on the Zedbull, 2002 Hyundai Accent. All went well. Gotta say the software is really good and guided me through all the steps with extreme clarity. My customer went to the vehicle to do the five turns in the ignition without any problems. I'm a happy bunny, I love my Zedbull. Phil.

ponsaloti
Question for those that get the customer to do half the job for them. What do you pay the customer
