kobblers
Help needed guys. My bench knife is coming to the end of its life, what do you guys use that's good for removing treads and/or skiving leather sole joins. Cheers, Rick.

Pyrite
I generally use the barnsley ones with the surgical steel blade similar to the picture already posted. I tried several others but found that they generally either snap or lose their edge quickly especially whilst doing orthopedic mods. Flash
Always made my own. Buy a couple of handles. Cadge some worn out metal saw blades from your local metal workshop, a bit of inginuity and you never need to buy another knife again.
Pyrite
A few repairers over here also use a steel ruler sharpened up and wrapped with some leather for a handle. Essentially, whatever you find comfortable to use. Cheers
