My eldest is a professional footballer (until June!! :( ) and back in November/December he had a prolific cough that went on for weeks, with a number of others at the football club having different symptoms now linked to Covid.

Could've been going on longer than thought!!

Another thing I have no doubt of, stories I also hear going back to October lower back pain, loss of smell or taste and other symptoms unusual to colds but dismissed at the time. If they do launch and carry out an investigation that will turn out to be the starting point. Friends dad taken into hospital in Oct serious breathing problems (underlying heart condition overweight were blamed at the time) and little while after he had cold/flu like symptoms but with loss of smell and taste.

So on one of my many conference calls tonight there has been a marked increase in Covid patients this week with both the ambulance service and hospitals (East of England) - so much so that at least one local hospital has had to change it's plans going forward. This is not a good sign let's hope it's a blip. To add to that there has also been a marked increase in RTCs as people venture out again.

So it's not just local to me where an increase is being seen - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-52796589

A little worrying as Boris has just announced non essential shops can open from 15th June which is 2 weeks later than earlier indications. We are still seeing little rises in numbers locally let's hope it is a blip and not the start of something bigger.
