The A7 shown on that link to the Hickelys website is a genuine machine. It has been re-badged by some in the UK as an A4 because it is actually a bit smaller than the A5. It can run off mains power and has an internal battery capable of cutting about 10 keys off a single charge. It was designed for someone who wants a small machine in their shop but can pick it up easily to go do a job out on the road.

Beware of imitations on the chinese websites claiming that they are selling 'korea made a7', and they even use the photo of the original machine, but what you will receive is an inferior knock-off. The problem is you will not be able to do anything about it as how will you send it back to China.

Don't buy Chinese crap on cut to code machines it ain't the price you should be looking at the main things is machine reliability future software updates and technical support if something goes wrong.

I use silca as in my opinion they are the best but expensive but as they say you get what you pay for

If looking for a cheap machine their is a few options available to buy from the uk.i personaly didn't like the miracle machines when they came out but I have to say and some people on here will be shocked to hear me say lock decoders years later from releasing the miracle machines in the uk are still here still offering tech support and can still provide spare parts and has looked after its customers. That can not be said about any Chinese knock of machine supplier so think about more than price before you part with your cash.

I know you are not a fan of the Miracle machines, but at least you have a sensible opinion. When it comes to which machines are better one can only expect value for money. So if you pay a lot more for a machine one should expect it be a better product.

Thanks Craig I'm in Australia and it bloody not cheap here to buy a miracle a9 you are looking at 10k investment I understand you get return on investment, just weighing up all options before I hand over some cash, but yes silca has been around for ever and a day.

yes but a a9 at 10k Australian dollar is a lot cheaper than a 399 evo and a triaxi quarto well over 30k Scottish pounds but as I said you get what you pay for

Don't touch the V8/X6 machine with a barge pole. Its a poor copy of an early version of the A5. I have one in the workshop at the moment that someone has asked me to fix. It really is an utter heap of ****. Apart from being a knockoff the list of things wrong with it is endless. Poor casting, shoddy wiring, brittle wires on the sensors that fatigue and snap very quickly, doesnt stay callibrated between uses even goes out between cutting each side of a laser key, Play in the guides so you will never cut a 100% accurate key, It really looks cheap and nasty. I could go on but i think you get the point.

Obviously I am biased as I am part of Lockdecoders - many of you know me - Vic Southern. There are some wise commenst here - there is no point all in spending two or three thousand dollars to "save money" and getting an inferior knock-off with no back-up.

If you want a reliable bargain we are oiffering refurbished Miracle A5 machines, [cut to code or direct copy] 2 to 3 years old [trade-ins], serviced, updated, with a new PDA, new cutter, delivered UK for £1800-00 plus VAT. 3 months return to base warranty against any fault. 60 days free telephone back-up service. Parts will be available to 2020.

Apologise again for the commercial plug but I am sick of decent tradesmen buying these inferior copies and realisng they have a disaster.
