Xmas Opening Times

Interested to know what xmas opening times members are keeping? I've always closed between xmas and new year. Is it worth opening? What services do customers use most?

Staying closed between Xmas and new year for us, we done it last year for the first time and never received any negative comments.

We always open xmas eve till 2pm then back after boxing day untill new years eve till 4pm.

I've always opened after Boxing day but this year have decided to take time off.

Its been a busy year and many hours have been worked.

I was actually in at Christmas last year, doing coffin plates (5) in a hurry for the local undertakers, sad to die at christmas time.

I want to die peacefully in my sleep......not screaming like the passengers in my car.

I've never opened between xmas and new year and want to give it a go. Just wondered whether much business is done or if anyone has stopped opening because it is quiet during that week?

It is quiet but we still open, always have.

we always open just after Boxing day - always worth it

I used to open in between xmas and new year but end up going home about 1:00 after taking £20 because there's no one about, so last couple of years I have shut.

Quality time playing with the kids and maybe a day out for a drink with me mates is far more rewarding for me than taking a few quid.

 

You take money all year round so a couple of days off won't hurt, besides, I didn't have a summer holiday this year and probably won't next either so I deserve it!!!

Going to try to open between xmas and new year as a trial but for shorter hours 10am -3pm which are our busiest times...will see how it goes
