Growster
...should I be cutting his key onto his own uncut keyblank? I am unsure what the law or the trade's morals would say to this. I therefore can't divulge, whether I made that key or not. Thanks for letting me have the benefit of your thoughts on this. Chris
kobblers
If it's his own blank I don't see any problem. Rick.

StevenB
There's generally no way to prove that the customer shouldn't have the blank key in his possession, so go right ahead & cut it. Of course, you could lead him into a darkened room & subject him to rigorous questioning as to his motives & where he got the key blank from etc., but it's unlikely to engender much customer goodwill, so just go ahead, cut it, pop the cash in your till (or somewhere else that's nice & safe. Who said back pocket... ) Of course, there's the slim chance your gut feeling might tell you something's not quite right, in which case, trust your instincts & act accordingly. Growster
The client, a young chap with a strong Italian accent, had been to various shops before coming to us. They had all declined.
StevenB
Of course, you could always ask for a letter of authorisation. Not worth the paper it's printed on, but he might not know that & it might call his bluff if he's trying it on.
