StevenB
I have the piccie engraving thing, but haven't spent any great amount of time getting to grips with it. I think the key is in using the right image in the first place. Perhaps.
Forest Cobbler
Unfortunately we haven't had any takers yet for photo engraving. I have done some sample pictures on various items and not one customer has even commented on them. It is difficult to display them to their full advantage, because you do have to hold the items 'just so' to be able to see the picture properly, and that is a real downside to what could be a great gift. Ideally you need a clearly defined picture to start with; no shadows on the faces etc. And when it comes to editing the picture parameters, then less is definitely more. Try to resist twiddling too much. Good luck. Valerie

StevenB
So what advice can you offer on the picture engraving debate then Markyboy?
burghlocks
Excellent, thanks for that, also for mentioning umarq downloads, I hadn't seen that before , that's the only downside buying second hand, you miss out on manufacturers advice! Also discovered transparent background only transfer under Giff format not JPEG. So much to learn!

Gray
Just engraved 2 of these on the UNI300 with Vistool 8. Quite a complex logo. First one took 14 minutes, second one with optimise sequence selected took 10 minutes. Feed set at 0.04 m/min. Light touch and .003 burnishing diamond. And Mr Sheen

First one took 14 minutes, second one with optimise sequence selected took 10 minutes. Feed set at 0.04 m/min. Light touch and .003 burnishing diamond. And Mr Sheen but you could have lasered that in less than 3 minutes or about 5 minutes engraving 2 at the same time. but a good looking job well done
