  • 1 month later...

Morning,

I am trying for the first time to set up multiple plate engraving. Followed the video on U-Marqs website and have it all set up and ready to go.

My question is when I send the job across where do I select as the middle?  The middle of the top left plate, the middle of all the plates or somewhere else??

Many thanks

Paul

Not seen one but you can use normal Helvetica, highlight text, un-group, enlarge letter seperately then highlight all and create group if you get desperate.

Hi Michael

Yes I was trying to do that but was taking ages as the engraving was in excess ot 200 characters. Started to lay it out as you suggested but would have been there for ages so wondered if there was such a thing as helvetica small caps to save me lots of work!! Convinced customer to take it with normal helvetica text in the end and he was very happy with the final result!

In the last day or so have obviously ticked (or unticked) a box somewhere by mistake, and now cannot find where to put it right. So I'm hoping that one of you might be able to help.

When I'm putting the wording over the blue'd out yearly record template and then drag a box around the text to resize or reposition it the template gets selected as well, which is a pain. I've noticed it too when using other templates, that if I just touch the outline with my dragged box, then it picks that up too.

I know that I can get round it by selecting each line of text individually, but that's not the point. I'd like to get the setting back to where it was.

Thanks
