There has already been 3 or 4 of you on here spouting about £2k-£3k orders. Once Dalvey recieve Lee's letter and look at the potential, they should have a closer look at our Trade, it could go to £20k - £30k I'm sure

If they then chose to ignore it, they truly do need shooting I'm not sure any Company can afford to turn down that kind of business on a principal But I could be wrong

one thing were all forgetting is - "this really is a top quality product," too good for us mere shoe repairers as we will "bring down the brand image" this is roughly what was said to myself when enquiring - oh also, "not the image dalvey want"

Perhaps they have had their arm twisted by the Retail Gift & Jewelery trade.

I doubt it. What organisation is there in place that dictates who anyone should tell a company who they should and shouldn't sell too, I would say it was just an internal policy.

Perhaps they have had some bad experiences of non payment, it would be interesting to hear why they will not supply you.

Surley it would be wise not to serve the "NON" payer instead of alienating the whole industry.

I think it is snobbery on there part, and they can keep there products, there are other good quality products on the market more keenly priced. with staff who are happy to serve you.

i had a rep from one of my suppliers in this week, who had a conversation with someone from dalvey, may even be another rep (not sure) but he was saying the reason might be due to repairers 'discounting' or giving 'free engraving' with there products - thus by doing so 'bringing down there image as a high market product!
