Is anyone using the glenway system? What do you think about it?

Hi I think I was probably harsh with my comments especially in public on here, I think it’s frustration etc. I personally forget that as my business which is a really a small micro business unlike (to me) the big businesses in our trade group what they have been through, the decisions that had to be made over the last few years and the fallout from those times. So I personally hope that all of the businesses affected start to find their new normal again, that all repairs, keys and trophy suppliers continue to survive and supply us so we can then continue to make a living too. In a way it’s a positive that trend have found themselves too busy as it proves the business we all want a piece of is still there. So going forward cheers.

Thank you for your post @windycityIf poor service is leading to your customers being let down then your frustrations are understandable and don't blame you for voicing your frustrations on the forum.  The end users often have presentations organised which involves the booking of rooms, food, costs etc.  Without promised trophies and awards for a presentation evenings will of course be embarrassing to say the least.  We understand the pressure this brings on our customers.  Soon we will be back to our normal levels of service.  We then need to make the changes in the business to ensure that we increase our capacity to cope with the levels of demand experienced this year in readiness for the busy season in 2023.  As explained in earlier posts, we have lots of changes planned which will allow us to ramp up and give a good service in May next year.

Always been a huge supporter of Trend, It's been tough for all of us. I wish them all the best in trying to get back to normal. When customers come in with an order I always take time to go online and check stock for them and offer alternatives if there are no items in stock. once they are happy i complete the order and can give them a delivery date. TBH at 69 years old half way through the pandemic I thought of packing in, glad I didn't really, things are starting to pick up slowly. There is life in the old dog yet, also I'd be bored if I retired.

Thank you @gray for the supportive post.  We will back to normal soon.

Is it just me but I can't see the retail prices on the trade site???

Why don't they have them with trade prices?

I'm having to search the trade site to order and check stock levels as they don't always tally up with the trophystreet stock numbers, then search the trophystreet web page to find the retail prices so I can price the order up.

Very time consuming, but even worse when the customers standing there and there's a queue of customers waiting!!

Hi @Michael we have accurate stock numbers, trade prices and retail prices at www.trendsettingawards.com where you can place your orders online.  Let us know if we can help

Kind regards

I do use you, much easier with a catalogue but some customers like the trophies they have had before which are from Glenway.

I've started telling customers they are out of stock and to pick from another supplier. Lost count of the amount of times the front end has an item that isn't in stock to then let them know and yet it still be showing a week later. The 'live stock' just doesn't work. Can't beat a catalogue to let customers look through and you can guide them.

Down to 2 reliable suppliers at the moment who have been faultless this year during the busy period. They have definitely benefitted from issues elsewhere.
