exp121260
Hi All, Has anyone received the support Grant for the second lockdown ? Its seems ours refused or I might have applied for the wrong one !
petercoulson
Hi it looks like the wrong grant but the newer grant LRSG (Closed) Addendum appears to be at the discretion of your local council and covers retail businesses as well, I know of some that have received it and some who have not - it is purely based on whether they consider you HAD to close and were not in the bracket of essential. Worth another go, some councils are more helpful than others. (For example, this could include non-essential retail,) https://www.gov.uk/guidance/check-if-your-business-is-eligible-for-a-coronavirus-grant-due-to-national-restrictions-for-closed-businesses

I did open for few hours a day during second lockdown, so my business considered as open and I do not think I am eligible to apply for a closed one. Michael
I got mine through my local council that I pay my business rates to. It was called the Business support grant and was based on your rateable value. Should be the same application procedure as the first grant of £10k or more.
