Red wing Boots 1907

Recommended Posts

Treated myself to A new pair of these on my last visit to the States 3 or 4 years ago.

Bloody expensive but my last Heavily abused pair were a xmas prezzy from my brother who was The uk importer for Red Wing in the 80's. They lasted around 7 or 8 years.

Anyway, these will need new soles in the near future.

With the greatest or respect (I have no knowledge of shoe repairing). Does anyone  have experience working on these or are they run of the mill type work.

I do these regularly. Send me a private message if you want some details, some pictures of your boots would help as well as there are different stages of repair with these and you may not need the full works

Thanks, I'll be in touch when the time comes.

I was just going to do a post asking 'almost' the same question, I've just bought a pair and was going to ask where I can get the branded soles once they wear out. I know I could use white micro but would obviously prefer the real deal. I don't think Birch or Colledge would stock them.

If you want the Red Wing branded soles then you need to take them to the official Red Wing shop in London, they’re no longer supplying them elsewhere.

You also need to take them and collect them yourself, they won’t post and last time I checked the wait time was around 6 weeks, so maybe do it in the summer when you don’t plan to wear your boots for a while

Scrap that then, I'll use white Micro instead when the time comes. Or I may get lucky on eBay ;-)

Thanks for the info.
