Count Muppet
The tracer seems to work using an electrical contact sensor that’s why you can’t do plastic. maybe your tracer or the key was dirty which stopped the sensor from working? hibsjo(SCO)
it decoded the original and broke on the new one so it wasnt dirty key/tracer. still waiting on silca coming back to me cary on!
grahamparker
Had a similar issue with the Triax a couple of years ago decoding VA2/6 blades i snapped a couple of tracers reported it to Aldridges who replaced the new tracer as they know me well and i also reported the issue to Silca. I tried to recreate the problem as i still had the customers blade (recorded it on my phone) but it decoded several times without any issues and i have not had a problem since. Could possibly be a manufacturing defect causing them to break or a software bug.
Cameron Avery
Not sure why the tracer is hitting the new key as it should only normally be down for the decode then be put back up. Normally it tells you to check the mobile tracer position before it cuts the key or is it the tracer point, which you should have changed to a cutter to cut the key?
