grahamparker
I currently have the following Coined dies made using silca blanks for YA1E, UL050, UL054, YA91, LF2, LF4 ,LF19, IE6, VI080, CS207, 2UN2 and any that have the same head shape can also be produced. Some of these dies are now over 30 years old and i have not ordered any for ages (busy enough i have not paid for any form of advertising for over 15 years). I did also have some made for 3G110 and 3G114 from Colsons many moons ago but we do not do many of these keys now.
cobblers.keys
I still have some of these coined keys from a shop that I closed down over 5 years ago. I don't think that the customers even notice tbh, make sure you only have your fast movers coined and remember some keys slow down and different areas use different keys etc. Mike at Vauxhall
Mike at Vauxhall
For the very marginal difference in cost I think coined keys are worth it, especially when you are doing keys that you know are going to be given out (estate agents and when businesses want multiple sets for staff.) I get my coined keys from both sks and HD. Just the top selling blanks of course. Don't bother with mortice keys being coined. The brass is HD, the steel is Sks. But I agree I do prefer jma blanks.

I have been doing the same with a name stamp although Im not retail and my keys are for agents so I can easily tell when they say they don't work and know wether I supplied them. Marking or personalised is a small effort that does the same if better than a business card, the latter gets lost. The other item I give away is the trolley coin which customers do use. At a very low cost they are providing a good means to market the key cutting.
