Simes
I'm having trouble cutting the key in the attached picture. I have assumed it is a Chubb 373B (HD Boards). I cut 3 of on JMA CHU1B. One worked fine the other two wouldn't enter the lock? This has been double checked by the customer. They are indeed thicker than the key in the picture so have I chosen the wrong blank and it was just fluke that one was slightly thinner than the others? Or are the blanks not right? The code 196B is printed on the "original" but I can't find that code anywhere. Any help appreciated. Adamdale
grahamparker
It is deffo a chubb blank, 196b is the RST reference. Ask the customer to check the faceplate and confirm it is a Chubb or Union lock. http://www.keyprint.co.uk/196bbrchubbbrmortice-copy-blank1500 Simes

Wierd one! The chubb blanks would definitely not enter the lock. Not ideal using a steel key but not sure what else I could do.
x minit uk
I've had this happen with a few Chubb blanks, got mine from birches they are about 1/2 mm to thick to enter the lock. Out of 100 blanks 6 were to thick.
