k4mrc
Great Hampton Street Birmingham My bro stocks lots, however he gave up repairing as it turned out to be more of a 'loss leader' where he chased around and made nothing, screens you can get off Chinese websites same as me T
ironplanet uk900
Interesting Martin... why was he chasing around! The reason I'm asking is, My phone broke (Iphone) and our local "Phone repair shop said it couldn't be repaired... I fixed it myself! Then my son broke his screen and had it replaced at the same place £80.. it failed few days later and he said the circuit had blown and it was scrap. I was a bit pissed off as it was a waste of money. I ordered a new screen off the net, and replaced it easily and it works perfectly... So I'm thinking money to be made... Just sayin. hakeemz
lots of local wholesalers in each city..takes 15 minutes for all iphone5 upwards screen replacement and 25 min for iphone 4, 4s..smasung s3.s4 and minis glass replacement 45 minutes and lcd replacement 15 minutes..good money to be made, as long as you are clear and strict with customers, for example test all major functions of phone prior to accepting a job, so you are not responsible for any pre existing faults like power button of volume button not working etc ironplanet uk900

robinh
Re Phone screen repairs.............. would anyone be interested in writing a short article about mobile phone screen repairs for Cutting Edge magazine ? Just the basics without giving too much info and an indication of the margins to be made? And pictures are always welcome.. If so please get in touch with me. ( The print deadline for this issue is only two weeks away, ) In fact at Cutting Edge we are always looking for interesting stories about people., businesses, technical help, personalities anything really. Lee
If no one takes up, ill write one in maybe 12 months time. Ive only just started doing them so am still learning and making mistakes or rather learning quicker techniques. Margins are good imo.
robinh
Lee, we would be very interested to have a short article from you about actually starting up now with a follow up in 12 months time. It might encourage others to have a go. What made you try, Some of the problems you have overcome. Some indication of the margins. What a newcomer to this work might encounter. A few photos. Would be great. Many thanks Robin kobblers
